While Idil sets out to design the wedding dress of the year, she suddenly finds herself in a struggle to prevent this wedding. Although she expresses this as trying to get a young girl out of the wrong marriage, it is actually a long overdue reckoning between Idil and her ex-boyfriend.。Inspired by W.G. Sebald’s book and based on WWII archive footage, the film puts forward the question: is it morally acceptable to use civilian population as a means of war? Is it possible to justify mass destruction for the sake of higher “moral” ideals?
