本片为邵氏继《马永贞》后，再次以上海滩黑帮争霸仇杀为题材的电影。陈观泰饰的仇连环当年在上海滩，以拳头打出天下，乃好勇斗狠的典型人物，血腥事件轰动社会；仇为了井莉饰的交际花沉菊芳，不惜豁出性命，与着名帮会首脑之子及同谋展开连场明争暗斗；仇亦成为帮会争夺地盘的嫁祸目标……。This season began merely two whole weeks after the first season had ended, on April 19, 2008, with the airing of "The Elite Guard", and ended on July 5, 2008, with the two-parter, "A Bridge Too Close".
